8 let, 8 lekcí a cesta plná vděčnosti

8 years, 8 lessons, and a journey full of gratitude

GoodWays is celebrating its 8th birthday!

It's hard to believe that GoodWays is already celebrating its 8th birthday. But it's true.

Eight years ago, we officially registered our company and launched our first product – GoodGlass – into the world.

I am incredibly happy to celebrate the 8th birthday of GoodWays with our amazing community. It has been an incredible journey – full of challenges, successes, and lessons – and I am immensely grateful that we can be here together. Without your support, we would have never made it, so I want to thank you very much.

How it all started

Eight years ago, I realized that we needed to change something. Single-use plastics are flooding us, and the world needs a more sustainable approach. I founded GoodWays with a simple goal: to raise awareness about the problem and offer alternatives that are eco-friendly, practical, and also inspiring.

I wanted our products to not only help the planet but also be a catalyst for conversations about sustainability. Because it is the sharing of ideas and stories that can move us forward.

GoodWays today: more than just products

Over the years, GoodWays has become much more than just a brand. We have built a space where we can share ideas and inspire each other to make small daily changes that have a big impact – both on our lives and on the world around us.

8 lessons from 8 years of GoodWays

  1. Celebrate small victories. This is something I have thought a lot about in the past year and something I often forgot in the past. It is so easy to jump from one task to another, rushing from one goal to the next without stopping to appreciate how far we have come. Celebrate your progress, even the smallest. It keeps us motivated and grateful.
  2. Be kind to yourself. Life is full of unexpected events and challenges, and you will experience both successes and failures. Learn to see every experience as part of your story and treat yourself with the same kindness and encouragement that you would offer to someone you care about.
  3. Be patient, everything takes time. It usually takes longer than we would like for the desired results to show up. Don't give up and keep moving forward.
  4. Consistency adds up. Small but regular steps forward accumulate over time and lead to big changes. And even small improvements, like 1% a day, can change our lives over time.
  5. Share your journey. Talking to others about your ideas, challenges, and progress can be incredibly valuable. However, remember that no one knows your journey as deeply as you do. Don't be discouraged if others may not understand you.
  6. Stay flexible and follow your heart. Big changes require strong will and determination, as it is often tempting to take the path of least resistance. Learn to read the signs and seek balance between your heart, mind, and the universe around you.
  7. Step out of your comfort zone. Our goals and dreams often lie beyond the boundaries of our comfort zone. The comfort zone is like a rubber band – the more often we stretch it, the easier and more it expands.
  8. Start, even if you’re not fully ready. Waiting for perfection can hold you back. Taking small steps forward is much more important than waiting for everything to be perfect.

And don’t forget that your goal is a great source of motivation. Working on something that aligns with your mission and values is the greatest driving force of energy and determination. Find your purpose and let it guide you on your path to fulfillment and joy.

Thank you for being a part of our journey.

Celebrations are not just about reflection, but also about gratitude. And today, I am very grateful for your help, collaboration, and support. Without you, GoodWays wouldn't be where it is.

With love and gratitude,
Johan, founder of GoodWays
